Day 19: July 7, 2013
We have been trying to get to Huanama Bay to snorkle for a few weeks, but you have to get there very early because the parking lot gets full by 9:00. We got there at 8:30 and stood in line for 20 minutes before watching a video on the nature center. Once we walked the long and steep path to the bay, there was an equipment rental shop by the bay where we got fins because we already had masks and snorkles. The fins were only $5.00 but we're going to buy some because we'll definitely be going back with our families. The snorkeling was amazing!! We saw tons of different fish, sea urchins, and an eel that we were warned to stay away from. It was about 5 feet long! We left early and went to a "hole in the wall" sandwich shop called Stortos. It was a delicious sub with a signature papaya seed dressing and very fresh bread. Dan liked it because they had a poster advertising the Moody Blues at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh! Fun day and we ended our early morning with a nap :)
